It’s that time of year again. Deer can be a problem at any time of year but during the fall when the bucks are in rut, there is an even greater chance of accidents involving deer. The Insurance Information Institute (III) estimates that there are around 1.25 million deer-vehicle collisions each year.

Swords, knives, and other costume accessories should be short, soft, and flexible. Avoid trick-or-treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult. Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags to help drivers see you. Examine all treats for choking hazards and tampering before eating them.
